CAS:2',6'-Difluoroacetophenone is a pyridine compound that has been shown to have anticancer activity in vitro. The pharmacophore for this compound was elucidated by means of a dilution method and subsequent bioassay. 2',6'-Difluoroacetophenone also showed antimicrobial activity against Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. It is an isomeric mixture of two compounds: 2,6-difluoroacetophenone and 4-chloro-2,6-difluoroacetophenone. These compounds exhibited antibacterial activity against both Gram-positive and Gram-negative bacteria. Molecular modelling studies revealed that the molecular structure of 2',6'-difluoroacetophenone can be described as a chalcone derivative with a nitrogen atom at position 3 in the phenyl ring. This molecule shows gelation properties when mixed with water or other organic solvents, which may have implications for itsFormula:C8H6F2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:156.13 g/molRef: 3D-FD64523
