Cyclopropylhydrazine dihydrochloride
CAS:Cyclopropylhydrazine dihydrochloride is an organic compound that has solvates, tautomers, and pathological fibrosis. It is a prodrug that is converted by the body into cyclopropylmethylene hydrazine (CHM), a neurotoxic compound. CHM is a stereoisomer of methylenecyclopropane, which binds to the enzyme succinic dehydrogenase, thereby inhibiting electron transport and generating reactive oxygen species. Cyclopropylhydrazine dihydrochloride has been shown to be medically effective against cancer cells in cell culture experiments. It also has been shown to reduce levels of amyloid-β peptides in mice with Alzheimer's disease. The drug was originally synthesized as an analog of hydrazine and was later found to have therapeutic potential for neurodegenerative diseases such as Parkinson's disease. This drug can be used as a radioactive tracer for positron emission tomography (Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FC143030
