DBCO-C6-NHS ester is a bisphosphonate that has been used as a cell therapy to promote bone formation. It is dissolved in DMSO and slowly injected into the patient's bloodstream. This drug also inhibits the enzyme that breaks down cartilage, blocking the production of reactive oxygen species (ROS) and inhibiting osteoclasts from entering the bone matrix.
