Diisobutyl Adipate
CAS:Diisobutyl adipate is a solid catalyst that is used in the production of glycol ethers, fatty acid esters, and alkylphenol ethoxylates. Diisobutyl adipate is insoluble in water and has a particle size of less than 1 micron. It can be used as a solvent for benzalkonium chloride and sodium carbonate, which are both hydrophilic substances. Diisobutyl adipate has a hydroxyl group that reacts with methyl anthranilate to form methyl ethylbenzoate (MEB). MEB is an intermediate in the production of pyrimidine compounds. MEB can also react with cationic surfactants such as dibutyl to produce polyethylene glycol ethers (PEGE). PEGE are used in products such as shampoo, fabric softener, and detergents.Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FD62543
