Lithium tetrafluoroborate
CAS:Lithium tetrafluoroborate (LiBF4) is a chemical compound that is stable in the absence of water. It is used as an electrode material for electrochemical measurements, such as UV absorption and reaction mechanism. The activation energies for the reactions of LiBF4 with methyl ethyl and hydrogen fluoride are found to be 7.2 kJ/mol and 7.5 kJ/mol respectively, which are determined by using trifluoromethanesulfonic acid as an electrolyte. The reaction solution turns from colorless to light yellow when LiBF4 reacts with zirconium oxide, indicating that the reaction occurs in the liquid phase. Electrochemical impedance spectroscopy was used to study the kinetics of lithium ion transport through cationic surfactant-containing electrolytes containing LiBF4, which showed that lithium ions can be transported across cationic surfactant-containing electrolytes containing LiBF4 at a rate comparable to what is observedFormula:BF4LiPurity:Min 98%Color and Shape:White PowderMolecular weight:93.75 g/molLithium Tetrafluoroborate
