CAS:N,N-Dimethylbenzenesulfonamide (DMS) is a cytotoxic agent that has shown antihistaminic activity. It is also an inhibitor of carbonic anhydrase and shows some inhibition of the enzyme anhydrase. DMS binds to DNA by forming hydrogen bonds with the bases guanine and cytosine, which are involved in the formation of intramolecular hydrogen bonds with purines. This binding prevents transcription and replication. The drug is also a good electron donor, which can accept electron-deficient groups such as nitro groups or phenols. DMS has been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth by blocking DNA synthesis and protein synthesis.Formula:C8H11NO2SPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:185.24 g/molBenzenesulfonamide, N,N-dimethyl-
