2,3,5,6-Tetramethylterephthalic acid
CAS:2,3,5,6-Tetramethylterephthalic acid (TMT) is an organic compound that contains a hydroxyl group. It is a precursor to polyesters and polyamides. TMT can be synthesized by reacting cyclopentyl amine with cyclohexanone in the presence of a catalyst such as aluminium chloride. This chemical reaction produces a liquid crystal that has been shown to have beneficial properties for tissue samples. TMT also has the ability to be converted into other chemicals through a number of different reactions, including: liquid-liquid extraction with methyl ketones, chlorine atomation, and radiation.Formula:C12H14O4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:222.24 g/molRef: 3D-FT133384
