  • Cadmium fluoroborate - 50% in water

    CAS:
Cadmium fluoroborate is a pyrazole derivative that is soluble in water and has hydrogen bonding properties. It can form metal-cadmium complexes with high stability constants and has been used as a reagent for the preparation of other cadmium compounds. The compound can be prepared by reacting cadmium chloride with morpholine and then hydrolyzing the product with water to produce cadmium hydroxide. This salt also has luminescence properties which are due to the presence of silicon, magnesium, or both. Cadmium fluoroborate can be used as a chemical intermediate or as an indicator for different types of ions because it changes color depending on the type of ion present.
