Hexafluorodisiloxane
CAS:Hexafluorodisiloxane is a volatile, colorless liquid that is chemically inert and non-toxic. It has a high boiling point of 160°C and low vapor pressure. Hexafluorodisiloxane can be used as an analytical solvent for phosphorus pentoxide, as well as a carrier gas in chemical ionization mass spectrometry. Hexafluorodisiloxane is stable in the presence of hydrogen fluoride, hydrogen chloride, and heat. It forms cleavage products with water vapor or damp air. The reactivity of hexafluorodisiloxane is attributed to fluorine atoms on its molecules. The activation energies for these reactions are relatively high because of the strength of the C-F bond.Formula:F6OSi2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:186.16 g/mol
