CAS:3-Allylrhodanine is an anti-bacterial agent that has been shown to inhibit the growth of bacteria by interacting with transition metal ions. It is used in wastewater treatment to remove carbon disulfide and its condensation products. 3-Allylrhodanine reacts with aldehydes to form ethyl orthoformate and chloride, which are then converted into 2-bromo-3-nitrobenzoic acid.
