Isoxazol-5-amine
CAS:Isoxazol-5-amine is a synthetic compound that is used in cancer research. It inhibits the growth of tumor cells by interfering with their ability to divide. Isoxazol-5-amine has an inhibitory effect on tumor cells and can be used to treat cancer. Isoxazol-5-amine binds to DNA, preventing the DNA from being read and the cell from dividing. The protonated nitrogen atom of isoxazol-5-amine allows it to bind to electron deficient sites on DNA, which are abundant in nucleosides and nucleotides. This chemical reaction occurs intracellularly, leading to inhibition of protein synthesis and cell death. Intramolecular hydrogen bonds form between phenyl groups adjacent to the nitrogen atom, which stabilizes this inhibitory complex within the cell's nucleus. Isoxazol-5-amine is synthesized through an efficient method with sodium carbonate as its starting material. InFormula:C3H4N2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:84.08 g/molRef: 3D-FI76794
