CAS:5-Indanol is an organic compound that has a hydroxy group and an isomer. The eugenol is the most common isomer. 5-Indanol can be found in plants, such as cinnamon and cloves, and has been shown to have antiseptic properties. It is also used as a control agent in epidural injections because of its ability to decrease blood pressure. 5-Indanol binds to tyrosinase, an enzyme that produces melanin which influences skin coloration, by hydroxyl groups and activates it with kinetic energy. This leads to the production of melanin pigments which are responsible for skin coloration. Magnetic resonance spectroscopy has been used in order to determine the exact structure of 5-indanol.Formula:C9H10OPurity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:PowderMolecular weight:134.18 g/mol5-Hydroxyindan
