CAS:Allyl isocyanate is a reactive, colorless liquid that has antihypertensive activity. It is used in the synthesis of pharmaceutical preparations, mainly as a stabilizer for active ingredients in tablets and capsules. Allyl isocyanate has been shown to have good chemical stability at room temperature and is not affected by light or air. Allyl isocyanate also has biological properties that include being able to act as a substrate for film formation and as an agent for hydroxylation reactions. The allyl group can be incorporated into organic molecules to form esters, amides, nitriles, carbamates, and ureas. These functional groups are important in the synthesis of biological compounds such as growth factors and antimicrobial agents. Allyl isocyanate also has neurotoxic effects on nervous system diseases such as multiple sclerosis and amyotrophic lateral sclerosis (ALS).Formula:C4H5NOPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:83.09 g/mol
