Tin(II) ethoxide
CAS:Tin(II) ethoxide is used in catalyst synthesis. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.Formula:C4H10O2SnColor and Shape:White, PowderMolecular weight:208.83Tin(II) ethoxide
CAS:Tin(II) ethoxide is a colorless solid that is insoluble in water but soluble in organic solvents. Tin(II) ethoxide can be produced by the reaction of tin metal with ethanol or acetone. Tin(II) ethoxide has been shown to be an effective catalyst for many reactions, such as oxidation reactions at lower temperatures and alkoxylation reactions at higher temperatures. The crystallinity of tin(II) ethoxide can be determined by x-ray photoelectron spectroscopy, which produces overlapped peaks in the spectrum due to the overlapping of crystal planes. The particle size and anion content can also be determined by microscopy and diffraction profiles, respectively.Formula:C4H10O2SnPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:208.83 g/molEthanol, tin(2+) salt (9CI)
