CAS:(1S,6S)-2,8-Diazabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane is a chiral compound that can be made from the reaction of an organic acid with an amino alcohol. The enantiomers of this compound have shown to be effective against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Mycobacterium tuberculosis. The synthetic process for this compound was originally developed in the 1980s by researchers at the University of Illinois. They were able to show that it was possible to make a carbonyl reduction product using imidodicarbonic acid and an organic solvent. This led to the synthesis of moxifloxacin hydrochloride, which is used as a treatment for bacterial infections such as tuberculosis or pneumonia.Formula:C7H14N2Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:Colourless To Brown LiquidMolecular weight:126.2 g/mol(S,S)-2,8-Diazabicyclo[4.3.0]nonane
