4-Hydroxy-2-nitroanisole
CAS:4-Hydroxy-2-nitroanisole is a quinone with an isomeric mixture. It is a component of the explosive ammonium nitrate, and can be produced by photolysis or chemical oxidation of methoxy groups. 4-Hydroxy-2-nitroanisole has been shown to be insensitive to chemical oxidants, including nitric acid and chlorinated solvents. Functional theory suggests that 4-hydroxy-2-nitroanisole isomers are generated in a nitro radical mechanism. The isomers may have different functions, as some are more reactive than others. The carboline group may provide this compound with its stability.Formula:C7H7NO4Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:169.13 g/molRef: 3D-FH32673
