CAS:Formula:C12H14O3Purity:97%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:206.2378Ethyl 2-(4-acetylphenyl)acetate
CAS:Ethyl 2-(4-acetylphenyl)acetate is an oxime that has analgesic activities. It also inhibits the cyclooxygenase enzyme, which is involved in the biosynthesis of prostaglandins and thromboxanes. The inhibitory effects of this compound are reduced by rofecoxib, a cox-2 inhibitor, and nordihydroguaiaretic acid, a cox-1 inhibitor. Ethyl 2-(4-acetylphenyl)acetate may be used as a template for designing new drugs with analgesic properties that have fewer side effects than those associated with coxibs. This compound has been shown to have anti-inflammatory activity in vivo studies.Formula:C12H14O3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:206.24 g/mol
