Nickel diisobutyldithiocarbamate
CAS:Nickel diisobutyldithiocarbamate is a chemical compound that is used in the synthesis of polymers. It is insoluble in water and soluble in organic solvents, such as toluene. Nickel diisobutyldithiocarbamate forms micron-sized particles that are insoluble in most polar solvents, such as water, but dissolve well in non-polar solvents like hexane. This compound can be used to prepare emulsions by adding a small amount of magnesium oxide to a solution containing styrene and an organic solvent. The viscosity of this nickel diisobutyldithiocarbamate solution can be increased by centrifuging it or adding more solvent. The ability of this chemical to reduce the aging rate of polymers has been shown experimentally with styrene and other organic chemicals.Purity:Min. 95%
