CAS:1-Bromoisoquinoline is a heterocycle that is the product of a reaction between bromine and quinoline. It has been shown to be effective against cancer cells, as well as various autoimmune diseases. 1-Bromoisoquinoline inhibits glutamate receptor subtype AMPA and kainate, which are involved in the transmission of nerve impulses. This drug also inhibits metabolic disorders by inhibiting hydrochloric acid production in the stomach and has an inhibitory effect on nitric oxide production by macrophages, leading to decreased inflammation. 1-Bromoisoquinoline is currently being investigated for its use in treating hepatitis B virus infection. It has also been shown to inhibit tumour cell lines and react with nucleophilic compounds such as sulfhydryls and amines. The surface-enhanced Raman spectroscopy technique showed that 1-bromoisoquinoline can bind to viral surfaces, specifically those of HIV and herpes simplexPurity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FB41941
