CAS:(±)-Menthol is a natural compound that has been found to have anti-cancer properties. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of kinases, which are enzymes involved in cell signaling pathways that regulate cell growth and survival. This inhibition leads to apoptosis, or programmed cell death, in cancer cells. (±)-Menthol analogs have also been developed as inhibitors of cancer cell growth. In addition, (±)-Menthol has been found in human urine and can be used as a biomarker for cancer diagnosis and prognosis. Recent studies have shown that (±)-Menthol can suppress tumor growth in Chinese hamster ovary cells by inhibiting protein synthesis. Overall, (±)-Menthol shows promising potential as an anticancer agent and warrants further investigation.Formula:C10H20OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:156.26 g/mol
