Pratosartan
CAS:Pratosartan is a statin drug used to treat hypercholesterolemia and metabolic disorders. This drug has been shown to reduce the symptoms of these diseases, including muscle pain and weakness, fatigue, headache, and sexual dysfunction. Pratosartan belongs to a class of drugs called HMG-CoA reductase inhibitors that work by blocking the production of cholesterol in the liver. The chemical structure of Pratosartan can be found below. Clinical studies have shown that this drug has an anti-oxidative effect on cancer cells. Pratosartan also inhibits the release of epidermal growth factor (EGF) from cancer cells in an animal study.
