1,2,3,4-Tetraphenyl-1,3-cyclopentadiene
CAS:Tetraphenylcyclopentadiene, or TCP, is a fluorescent compound that can be used to measure the cleavage products of hydrogen chloride. The cleavage product, 1,2,3,4-tetraphenyl-1,3-cyclopentadiene (TPC), fluoresces under ultraviolet light and can be detected by nmr spectroscopy. TPC has been shown to induce the death of leukemia cells in mice and is also active against Hl-60 cells.
