CAS:Ethyl 1-cyano-1-cyclopropanecarboxylate (ECPC) is a benzamide analog that has been shown to be cytotoxic in vitro. ECPC inhibits protein synthesis at the ribosome, leading to cell death by apoptosis. ECPC binds to the 30S ribosomal subunit and inhibits protein synthesis, which leads to cell death by apoptosis. It also binds to the 50S ribosomal subunit and inhibits RNA synthesis, leading to cell death by necrosis. ECPC has been shown to have selectivity for cells that are not sensitive to benzamide treatment, making it an attractive candidate for cancer treatments. This drug has a solubility of about 1g/L in water and is soluble in DMSO. The synthetic method for ECPC is not known, but it is thought that it may be synthesized from cyclohexanol using a piperidyl group as an intermediate.Formula:C7H9NO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:139.15 g/molRef: 3D-FE35348
