Olsalazine
CAS:Olsalazine (Dipentium), an anti-inflammatory drug, is used in the treatment of inflammatory bowel disease. It is also a novel DNA hypomethylating agent.Formula:C14H10N2O6Purity:99.31%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:302.24Olsalazine
CAS:Olsalazine is a drug that belongs to the class of drugs called sulfonamides. It is used for the treatment of ulcerative colitis and other bowel diseases. Olsalazine works by inhibiting the synthesis of mucopolysaccharides in the bowel, which are needed to form a protective barrier against acid and pepsin in the gut. This effect is due to its ability to bind to the matrix or connective tissue at the surface of the bowel wall. The binding can be reversed by hydrolysis with cytosolic Ca2+ ions, which triggers polymerization of olsalazine into long-chain polymers that cannot penetrate through cellular barriers. Olsalazine also has an anti-inflammatory effect on cells in the colon and may block some types of toll-like receptor signalling pathways involved in inflammation.Formula:C14H10N2O6Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:SolidMolecular weight:302.24 g/molOlsalazine Sodium
