4-Penten-1-yl acetate
CAS:4-Penten-1-yl acetate is a non-polar solvent that has been used as an ethyl decanoate cocatalyst in the manufacture of cellulose acetate. 4-Penten-1-yl acetate has also been shown to react with hydrochloric acid to produce a mixture of products, including chloroethanes and polyfluoroalkyl chloride. The reaction mechanism involves the formation of an amide from the two molecules. This reaction product is then hydrolyzed by hydrochloric acid, leading to the formation of a chloride. The detection methods for 4-penten-1-yl acetate are gas chromatography and mass spectrometry.Formula:C7H12O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:128.17 g/mol4-Pentenyl Acetate
