CAS:2-Amino-2'-fluorobenzophenone is a chlorinating agent that is used to treat drinking water. 2-Amino-2'-fluorobenzophenone antagonizes the activity of the enzyme chloroperoxidase, which is responsible for inactivating chlorine in water. This product has been shown to be more effective than other agents in increasing the concentration of free chlorine in water and reducing bacterial levels. The presence of 2-amino-2'-fluorobenzophenone does not affect the pharmacokinetics or pharmacodynamics of loprazolam, a benzodiazepine hypnotic agent.
