Iodoacetamide-PEG3-azide is a synthetic peptide inhibitor of protein interactions and activator of the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor. It has been shown to be an effective inhibitor of protein interactions, such as the binding of ligands to receptors. Iodoacetamide-PEG3-azide has also been shown to activate the nicotinic acetylcholine receptor by binding to it and preventing the receptor from desensitizing. This drug may also be used as a research tool for studying ion channels and antibody production.
