3,5-Dibromotoluene
CAS:3,5-Dibromotoluene is an organometallic compound that is a monomer for polymers. It has been used as a precursor for the preparation of cyclic polymers containing pendant chloride groups. The reaction time for the addition of 3,5-dibromotoluene to 1,3-cyclohexadiene is 10 minutes at room temperature and 5 hours at 100°C. Diffraction data shows that 3,5-dibromotoluene crystallizes in orthorhombic form with space group Pcma (No.43).
