2-(2,6-Difluorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazole is a crystalline solid that is used as an important catalyst. This compound has been shown to be highly active in many reactions and its low toxicity makes it suitable for use in the laboratory. 2-(2,6-Difluorophenyl)-1H-benzimidazole was used as a cocatalyst with various solvents such as acetonitrile or toluene. The coordination of this molecule is monodentate and crystallography revealed high activity in x-ray crystallography. This compound also showed low activity when tested using X-ray crystallography.
