2-Hydroxy-5-nitroindane
CAS:2-Hydroxy-5-nitroindane is a synthetic retinoid that binds to the retinoic acid receptor, which induces antiproliferative activity. It has been found to be a potent inhibitor of cell proliferation and an inducer of differentiation in vitro. 2-Hydroxy-5-nitroindane alters the expression of genes involved in the process of apoptosis and inhibits DNA synthesis by binding to DNA. This compound also has an affinity for the skeleton, which may be due to its ability to bind with benzoic acid. 2-Hydroxy-5-nitroindane has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in vivo, although it does not inhibit tumor initiation or tumor promotion.Formula:C9H9NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:179.17 g/mol
