CAS:Magnesium phthalocyanine is used in preparing membrane sensors for cyanide ions. Also used in preparation of membrane sensors for cyanide ions. This Thermo Scientific Chemicals brand product was originally part of the Alfa Aesar product portfolio. Some documentation and label information may refer to the legacy brand. The original Alfa Aesar product / item code or SKU reference has not changed as a part of the brand transition to Thermo Scientific Chemicals.Formula:C32H16MgN8Purity:90%Molecular weight:536.84Magnesium(II) Phthalocyanine
CAS:Magnesium(II) Phthalocyanine (MgPc) is a molecule that has been used for the development of a model system for the study of hydrogen fluoride-induced DNA damage. This material has a high chemical stability and low energy light emission. It can be activated by radiation or light, which leads to the release of electrons from the MgPc molecules. These electrons are captured by oxygen molecules in the air to produce free radicals, which are highly reactive with other molecules such as DNA. The type strain that was used in this research was C. parvum, although it is not limited to this organism.Formula:C32H16MgN8Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:536.83 g/mol
