CAS 16627-68-2: 1,1,2,2-Tetrafluoro-3-(1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethoxy)propane

Tetrafluoroethylene and 1,1,2,2-tetrafluoroethyl 2,2,3,3-tetrafluoropropyl ether are two compounds that have been synthesized to create ternary mixtures. The systematic study of these mixtures has revealed the presence of electrochemical reactions in both aqueous and non-aqueous environments. The electrochemical impedance spectroscopy (EIS) measurements of these mixtures revealed the presence of coulombic interactions between molecules. These measurements also showed that the molecules were bifunctional in nature with respect to their surface film properties. The structural analysis using microscopy (SEM) showed that the long-chain molecules had a more linear shape than the short-chain ones. The phase equilibrium studies on these compounds revealed that they form ionic species when dissolved in water.
