Cyclohexanone diethyl ketal
CAS:Cyclohexanone diethyl ketal is a chemical compound that is used in the production of polyurethane. It reacts with water to produce an acidic solution. The reaction product will precipitate as a white solid when it is exposed to air and has a viscosity of about 5-10 cP at 20° C. The optimal reaction temperature is between 55-65° C. Cyclohexanone diethyl ketal reacts with iron to form an iron complex, which can be detected by NMR spectroscopy. It also reacts with copper to form a copper complex, which can be detected using UV light emission spectroscopy. The structure of cyclohexanone diethyl ketal can be seen in the structural formula below: H2C=CHCO2Et + H2O → CH3CO2EtOH + H+ + OH- br> CH3CO2EtOH →Formula:C10H20O2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:172.26 g/mol1,1-Diethoxycyclohexane
