CAS:Tris(2-pyridylmethyl)amine (TPM) is a coordination compound that is used in the synthesis of pharmaceuticals. It is a diamine derivative with two pyridine groups attached to the nitrogen atoms. TPM has been shown to form stable complexes with metal ions and has been used as a ligand for some applications, such as in the synthesis of antibiotics and other biologically active compounds. The redox potentials of TPM are low enough so that it can be reduced by methanol solvent or by biological systems. The crystal structure of TPM was determined using x-ray diffraction data collected at room temperature. This structure showed that TPM contains an unusual hydrogen bonding interaction between the amine group and one of the pyridine groups.Formula:C18H18N4Purity:Min. 95%Color and Shape:White To Beige To Yellow To Brown SolidMolecular weight:290.36 g/molRef: 3D-FT60874
