CAS:2-Hydroxy-4-iodobenzoic acid is a ligand that binds to the uncoupling protein (UCP). UCP is a membrane protein found in the inner mitochondrial membrane of cells, which causes an increase in proton leak across the inner mitochondrial membrane.
