CAS:Ammonium hexafluorophosphate is a chemical compound that has been used as an analytical reagent in the determination of phosphate, sulfate and nitrate. It is also used to determine the nitrogen content of a sample. Ammonium hexafluorophosphate can be used as a chemical stabilizer for hydrogen bonding interactions because it is relatively stable and does not react with other chemicals. The optimum concentration for ammonium hexafluorophosphate is 1% (w/v). FT-IR spectroscopy has shown that ammonium hexafluorophosphate interacts with hydrogen bond through both electrostatic and dispersion forces. Ammonium hexafluorophosphate also interacts with trifluoroacetic acid to form ammonium trifluoroacetate as a byproduct, which can be detected using electrochemical impedance spectroscopy.Formula:H4F6NPPurity:Min. 99 Area-%Color and Shape:White Clear LiquidMolecular weight:163 g/molAmmonium hexafluorophosphate, 99.5%
CAS:Ammonium hexafluorophosphate is used as a preservative. It is used as a starting material in the preparation of other hexafluorophosphates. Further, it is used in synthesis of organometalic compounds, especially rhodicinium hexafluorophosphate, which has inert and non-coordinating counter ion. CAS:Controlled ProductApplications Ammonium Hexafluorophosphate is commonly available form of the hexafluorophosphate anion, inert and hence a suitable counterion. It is a useful synthetic intermediate. It can be used to prepare organometallic diphenols. Not a dangerous good if item is equal to or less than 1g/ml and there is less than 100g/ml in the package References Powell, C., et al.: J. Am. Chem.
