    CAS:
    Ethyl thiooxamate is a synthetic drug that binds to the allosteric binding site of protein kinases, thereby inhibiting their activity. Ethyl thiooxamate has been shown to be a potent antagonist against h9c2 cells and has been shown to inhibit acetaminophen-induced hepatotoxicity in mice. It also inhibits the activity of cholesteryl ester transfer protein, which plays an important role in the formation of low-density lipoprotein (LDL) cholesterol. This drug has been shown to have a molecular weight of 197g/mol, with an n-oxide group and two amine groups. It is synthesized by reacting tetroxide with acetamide in the presence of an asymmetric synthesis catalyst.
