CAS:O,O'-Bis(trimethylsilyl)-5-fluorouracil (OTSU) is a pyrimidine nucleoside that inhibits the growth of leukemia cells. It is a prodrug that is activated by alkylation with chloride to form 5-fluorouracil (5FU). OTSU has been shown to have an inhibitory effect on L1210 leukemia cells in mice and can be used as an experimental model for the study of drug resistance. OTSU has been synthesized in various isomers and the relative stereochemistry of these isomers has been determined by nmr spectra and liquid chromatography. OTSU can also be used as a monomer for other fluorinated pyrimidines such as 5-chloro-2'-deoxyuridine, which can be used as a chemotherapeutic agent against leukemic cells.Formula:C10H19FN2O2Si2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:274.44 g/mol
