CAS:3,5-Dinitro-L-tyrosine monohydrate (3,5-DT) is a redox active compound that is used as a reactive oxygen species probe. It has been shown to inhibit the activity of aminotransferases and aminotriazole reductase. 3,5-DT can be reduced by catalase to 3,5-dinitrophenol or by peroxidases to diphenyl ethers. These are the reaction products of this compound. The nitro group on the tyrosine residue acts as an electron acceptor in the reduction of 3,5-DT by peroxidases and catalase. The optical properties of 3,5-DT are due to its conjugation with phenols in the reaction products.Formula:C9H9N3O7·H2OPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:289.2 g/mol
