2,6-Dibromo-4-nitropyridine
CAS:2,6-Dibromo-4-nitropyridine is an unsymmetrical compound with a bicyclic structure. The nitro group on the 6 position of the pyridine ring is chemically different than the two nitro groups on the 4 position, which are ortho to each other. This difference in reactivity can be exploited in a regioselective synthesis. The crystal structures of 2,6-dibromo-4-nitropyridine and its derivatives have been determined by x-ray diffraction analysis. A coupling reaction has been carried out to synthesize 2,6-dibromo-4-(2′,3′-dimethoxybenzoyl)pyridine from 2,6-dibromopyridine and 2,3'-dimethoxybenzoic acid.Purity:Min. 95%Ref: 3D-FD142976
