N-(Chloromethyl)phthalimide is a chemical compound that reacts with hydrochloric acid to produce phthalic anhydride. It is used to make nonsteroidal anti-inflammatory drugs and has been shown to have antiangiogenic properties. N-(Chloromethyl)phthalimide has been found to inhibit the growth of various cancer cells, as well as inflammatory diseases.
