CAS:1-Trimethylsilyloxy-3-butyne is a terminal alkyne with one trimethylsilyl group on the terminal carbon. It is used as a solvent for catalytic reactions, especially in cross-coupling reactions. 1-Trimethylsilyloxy-3-butyne can be used to synthesize disubstituted alkenes from unactivated alkenes and iodides or copper. The reaction proceeds efficiently at room temperature in the presence of a phosphine and an organic base. The use of 1-trimethylsilyloxy-3-bulyne eliminates the need for molecular oxygen and makes it possible to carry out aerobic reactions without the use of expensive metal catalysts.Formula:C7H14OSiPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:142.27 g/mol
