4-(2-Benzothiazolyl)-2-chloro-benzenamine is a potent inhibitor of cancer cells, with antitumor activity in vivo. It has been shown to inhibit the growth of brain tumour cells and to be active against various carcinoma cell lines. 4-(2-Benzothiazolyl)-2-chloro-benzenamine has also been shown to be an effective inhibitor of mkn-45, mcf-7 and mcf-7 cells. This agent has a biphasic response, with low concentrations being cytotoxic and high concentrations being cytostatic.
