4-(3-Bromopropoxy)benzaldehyde
CAS:4-Bromo-3-(3-bromopropoxy)benzaldehyde is an antimicrobial agent that binds to the terminal alkynes of bacterial cell membranes. It has been shown to have a high affinity for the membrane of Gram-negative bacteria, such as Escherichia coli and Pseudomonas aeruginosa. A fluorophore was used to detect the binding constants of this compound, and it was found that 4-Bromo-3-(3-bromopropoxy)benzaldehyde has a binding constant of 3.2 x 10 M at 25 degrees Celsius. The fluorescence intensity increases with increasing concentration of zinc ions, which are required for molecular recognition by this compound.Formula:C10H11BrO2Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:243.1 g/molRef: 3D-FB161109
