This compound also has the ability to cross the blood-brain barrier, which may be due to its high lipophilicity and low molecular weight. 3-(Trifluoromethyl)benzamide inhibits b-raf phosphorylation by blocking the cb2 receptor agonist binding site on b-raf. This inhibition results in decreased levels of c-jun N-terminal kinase (JNK), which leads to apoptosis.
