Morpholin-2-yl-acetic acid
CAS:Morpholin-2-yl-acetic acid is a prodrug that is converted to 5-(3,4-dihydroxyphenyl)-5-hydroxytryptamine (5-HTP) in the body. It has been shown to inhibit tumor growth and metastasis. This drug also shows antiemetic effects by inhibiting serotonin release in the brain and potentiating 5-HTP levels in the brain. 5-HTP can cross the blood-brain barrier and stimulate the synthesis of serotonin, which modulates neurotransmission. Morpholin-2-ylacetic acid has been shown to increase locomotor activity and potentiate serotonin receptors on nerve cells in rats. Morpholin-2-ylacetic acid has also been shown to be a prodrug for paclitaxel, an anticancer drug that inhibits mitosis of cancer cells by binding to tubulin and blocking polymerization into microtubules. In addition, this compound stimulates mcf7 cellFormula:C6H11NO3Purity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:145.16 g/molRef: 3D-FM51767
