2-Phenyl-4-methylthiazole
CAS:2-Phenyl-4-methylthiazole is a bactericidal agent that is active against c. parvum, subtilis, and g. lamblia. It has been shown to be the most potent inhibitor of 14α-demethylase in c. parvum and subtilis. This compound is also an effective disinfectant for use on hard surfaces and has been shown to have therapeutic activity against methicillin-resistant Staphylococcus aureus (MRSA) and Giardia lamblia. 2-Phenyl-4-methylthiazole also has affinity for DNA, which may contribute to its antimicrobial activities by inhibiting DNA replication or transcription by binding to the DNA molecule at the site of action.Formula:C10H9NSPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:175.2 g/mol
