3-Amino-4-(methylamino)pyridine
CAS:3-Amino-4-(methylamino)pyridine is a peptidase inhibitor that has been shown to be effective at inhibiting the enzyme dipeptidyl peptidase-4 (DPP-4). This agent binds to DPP-4 and prevents the hydrolysis of the amide bond of DPP-4 substrates. 3-Amino-4-(methylamino)pyridine has been found to be selective for DPP-4, as it does not inhibit other enzymes such as aminopeptidases, carboxypeptidases, or angiotensin converting enzyme. 3-Amino-4-(methylamino)pyridine has also been shown to inhibit nitric oxide production in macrophages.
