CAS:2-Amino-N,N-dimethylacetamide (2-DMA) is a molecule that has been shown to inhibit tyrosine kinase enzyme activity. It binds to the protein active site and prevents ATP from binding. 2-DMA has been shown to be effective in a variety of enzymatic assays. In addition, 2-DMA has been shown to inhibit tumor growth in human cells by blocking cell proliferation and inducing apoptosis. The inhibition of tyrosine kinase enzymes by 2-DMA may be due to its ability to reduce the amount of sulfhydryl groups on the enzyme.
