Pyridine hydroiodide
CAS:Pyridine hydroiodide is a fluorescent probe that can be used as an optical sensor for neuronal death. Pyridine hydroiodide binds to pyridinium, which is a dinucleotide phosphate in the mitochondrial membrane potential, and causes an increase in fluorescence. The binding of pyridine hydroiodide to this dinucleotide phosphate has also been shown to inhibit cancer cell growth and increase the sensitivity of cells to radiation. In addition, it has been shown that pyridine hydroiodide can be used as a phase transition temperature probe for solar cells. The probe will change from one color to another when exposed to different temperatures.Formula:C5H5N·HIPurity:Min. 95%Molecular weight:207.01 g/molPyridine Hydroiodide
